DESCRIPTION: Century No. 7, 8x10 Studio Camera With No. 612 Walzl Brass Lens, Stand & More. Also includes: Matching 5x7 Reducing Back, 8-5x7 film holders, 1 Ansco 8x10 film holder, shutter hose and bulb. I think the camera wood is Cherry, but not sure. As shown.
CONDITION: Overall I would say this baby is in excellent condition for it’s historical age. All camera movements are working smoothly. The shutter mechanism is working, but not fully sure how to operate it. Lens has no internal problems like fungus or haze and looks very clear with just very light dust and soiling inside. The knob on the lens does not move so I didn’t try to force it. Dings, dents around front outer edge of lens brass. Lens board has a couple of wood patches (holes plugged). Bellows are in very good condition and move freely. Camera stand is in really good condition and all stand adjustments are working freely. Ground glass focus screens are good. 5x7 film holders have heavy wear on most. Two original rollers for the stand are missing. Locking jack on the one leg of the stand is working. If you think I’m forgetting something please ask.
