I have gotten some interest in this, so I took pictures as requested by the people who contacted me. Im not sure on shipping yet, I weighted the stand and platform this morning and it weights a total of 26 LBS before shipping.
Here we go.
Heres what it looks like racked up
There are the bottles I spoke of in the original post, this is one of the originals, its one of 6, 2 are originals the other 4 have been replaced.
and this is one of the 4 replacement bolts.
This is the top of the post where the platform gets attached. Like I said, someone in the past thought to add this lovely adhesive to help attach it. Im sure it can be removed with some light sanding.
This is the split i was referring to in the original post. It can easily be repaired, its falling off or about to, its still pretty well attached.
This is the alignment issue, the post should be parraell to the shim that helps keep it in place (the square looking piece of metal in the corner of the cast-iron piece) As you can see, its not and is wedged against the cast-iron. My guess is that whenever someone put those new blots in, they didn't align the post with the shims on the top cast-iron piece, because the ones on the bottom are aligned perfectly. This is causing a really slight wear on the one side of the post that is rubbing against the cast-iron ( see next picture ). The solution to this would be to just realign it by loosening all the bolts and then tightening them. I can do this before shipping
but its going to have to be done again when reassembled. The bolts are just held on with a simple nut, so this shouldn't be too hard.
This is the wear being caused by it rubbing against the cast iron, very minimal. There isn't any significant wear or erosion of the wood, just on the mahogany finish.
On to the platform!
This is the top of the platform, the felt has some water stains. Not sure if they can be removed or not. I havent tried cleaning it at all.
Underside of the platform, the cast iron tilting device (see next picture) is a little dirty but works, it attaches to the underside of the platform with two screws, that I have in a small bag.
The titling device spoken of above.
This is the point where the platform is attached to the stand. two of the three screws that thread into the post are still threaded in, not sure if you can see them in this picture. I have the third one as I removed it.
This is the underside of the above photograph. Its the side that makes actual contact with the stand. As you can see, there is move lovely adhesive here as well that can be sanded off.
I believe that covers everything about this stand, so if anyone is still interested feel free to let me know.
