I forgot to post a link to my lot in the auction (self promotion is not exactly my strong suit 🙄)

All of the lots can be found at this link:

I went to the opening reception for the exhibition/auction at the CPA last weekend and it was packed! It was my first chance to see the works by the other artists in person.

There's some really beautiful pieces in the auction from some well-known photographers including Ansel Adams (printed by Alan Ross), Joel Meyerowitz, Mary Ellen Mark, Wynn Bullock, Linda Connor, Bill Owens, Michael Kenna, Bob Kolbrener, Roman Loranc, Meghann Riepenhoff, and Cole Weston. Lots of other great pieces by lesser-known artists as well.

Hoping to get down there for another look before the auction closes on the 30th. There's one or two pieces I might like to snag for myself 😋

Very many years ago my wife and I happened on to The Friends of Photography when it was there. At the time I had no interest in photography other than family snapshots. They had an Edward Weston exhibition. I had no idea who he was and mentioned “look how good his prints are compared to what we get back from the camera store , I bet has his own darkroom “. When we got home I bought a starter darkroom set up. I joined the FOP and collected a number of prints through their program. Over the years my equipment has changed and I have a dedicated darkroom and have been a serious “photographer “ since. Actually somewhere along the line I had a photograph selected for one of their shows as well as being in at least fifty juried and one person exhibitions.
Nice going 👍
