Celebrate Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day April 26th with the Vermont Center for Photography!
VCP will host a free community-wide event in celebration of Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day on Saturday April 25th and Sunday April 26th.
Children, parents, students, enthusiasts, and photographers are all invited to the VCP on Saturday April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to make a pinhole camera that will be used the following day. Materials and instruction on how to make the cameras will be provided. (Children must be 12 years or older and accompanied by a parent.)
If participants already have a pinhole camera, come to the VCP on Sunday for the pinhole image-making event.
On Sunday, April 26th, participants will be registered for WPPD at the VCP from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. VCP will provide materials (paper or film) for participants to make negatives. The VCP darkroom will also be open with staff available to help process negatives and make prints.
This is a day to have fun and be part of a cooperative, worldwide experience. Participants may make multiple negatives and prints but only one print may be submitted to the WPPD web site, along with a completed registration form. Participation is free of charge, with a suggested donation of $20. Attendees must sign up at the VCP by Saturday April 18th.
