Hello,
If someone uses this process, can you tell me if freezing freshly made cottage cheese curds + ammonia can be frozen ,then thawed and the pigment/dichromate added?

Bill, not the reply you're expecting, but wanted to mention anyway; maybe purchasing ready made powdered casein from Kremer would be easier? I use this product with great success.

See this page...

BTW, I haven't done that before, but I've heard - from other practitioners - that freezing doesn't keep the casein solution for too long. A couple of days, a week tops. I prepare casein solution - using the powder - enough for each session. It's quick; only a couple of minutes every time...

Regards,
Loris.

Thanks Loris, I am looking at casein because I have indication that the adhesion to glass is better than even silane functional polymers.

Adhesion to non-friendly substrates is definitely better with casein. For instance, I've made successful prints on Yupo paper wi/o any primer with casein, but my results weren't that much successful with gum. (Excessive flaking etc...) Can't speak for glass - but casein + fumed silica is definitely a promising option as a primer for glass...

Loris.
