Hi all,
Already found out a little about a few of you, as you have about me, without being properly introduced. I apologise for my lack of courtesy but all I can say is that I did not scroll down far enough to find this forum until quite recently. My fault entirely.
Perhaps you would allow me to rectify that now.

I live in South Wales and have had an interest in photography for some years. Now I have more time to devote to it. I can honestly say that digital photography hold no interest for me, I am a committed B/W supporter and prefer Medium format - can't afford to go larger!
Main interest lies in social documentary photography with portraiture following close second, although will play with just about anything.

I had monitored this site for a few days before subscribing and concluded that would be a good place to be.

I may have started on the wrong foot and this was quite rightly pointed out to me.

Best wishes

John

Hi John,

Make no mistake, this is a good place to be.

There are some exceptionally knowledgeable people here. And then there are some others like me!

Like any community, it takes a little while to settle in. Please don't let this put you off.

...and if you happen to know of any worthwhile locations around Ross on Wye, please visit (there was a url link here which no longer exists) thread!

All the best,

Frank

Croeso! Ok, that's about all I can type, but I wish I knew more. Most of my ancestry is Welsh and it's a beautiful language, too. I've only been there once and would love to visit again.
Enjoy APUG - there is an amazing amount of knowledge here.

Diolch!
It is quite surprising how many welsh speakers there are in the states.
Best wishes,
John

John welcome from Northumberland in the far north of England. APUG is the best photography forum to be found anywhere and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I'll not attempt to greet you with any words from your native langauge, as a Geordie I have enough problems with English:D
