Carl Zeiss lens, what do I have?

About 20 years ago I found this lens in a storage unit, I know nothing about it and am photography illiterate. I've been using it as a magnifying glass to look at coins over the years, which it does a great job. Can someone tell me anything about it? What is it specifically, what application is it used for, magnification level, value, ect...It does have threads on the outside and inside of the bigger end, lending me to think it's for a camera. Somebody once told me maybe a microscope or some chemistry setting or hospital tech. I have no idea. Any info is more than I have now so it's greatly appreciated.!

Carl Zeiss has a long history of producing a range of optical instruments. Microscopes are one of the best known. There have been several types of microscopes as well as different series within the types. With many accessories. I have a couple of them but do not recognize the part you have.

Hmm, looks like a stereo microscope component to me... just a wild guess...
First I was thinking of something like the 0.8x focal reducer (Grossfeldsystem 0,8x in german) for microscopes, but they don't have any f = ... designation and the f would be a negative number.

Something along those lines, I'd expect, yes.
Valuation will be tricky and I'd wager to say that your use as a makeshift magnifier is probably about as valuable as the item will get.

I have a Zeiss microscope and that wouldn't fit on it anywhere. Maybe it's a dedicated taking or printing lens for some device?
