Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm f/2 in Praktiflex Mount (M40) screwmount (not Pentax M42 mount). This lens can be adapted to on most mirrorless cameras as well as Leica screwmount (and then to Leica M mount with a second adapter).
This is the pre-war Biotar version made in heavy brass. Lens was recently cleaned by Bill Moritz. Glass still has some very light residual haze/spotting inside, although Bill thinks its some coating damage...in any event glass is in relatively clean and clear condition and shoots well. Some scuffs on the glass too. See sample pics.. Glass grades an 8-.. See the pics where the lens is getting direct 300 watts of light into it - a torture test!!
The lens rim had a little damage to one area, so I screwed on a 40.5 to 43mm adapter ring to the lens. Now, you can fit 43mm filters (a B&W haze filter included !) and a lenshood (vented hood included!).

That M40 mount was introduced with their Praktiflex in 1939 by KW in Dresden. But in 1948 KW introduced at the Praktiflex their M42 mount. Which was taken over by their Praktica models, and got known as "Praktica-mount" (in the USA, with the domination of japanese SLR as "Pentax-mount").
