I know there is two workshops at the Daytona college. Both are outstanding and I plan on attending both. I got a E-mail from Carl and he indicated to me that he is light on attendance for his workshop. This is going to be one of the best chances to try out and see how Pt/Pl is done and if you would like to try it. I know this is a Analog site but I will tell you that I,m now doing Pt/Pl with 120 negatives and making 11x14 prints. I will be bring some of these enlarged negative prints if anyone is interested in them. The worst thing that could happen is not having enough people to support this and not having the chance to learn from someone of his talent come to use without having to travel by air.

Please support,:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Doug,
I'm coming up on Thursday night after work. I would like to do some photographing on Friday. Can you give me the BEST PLACE with the least amount of time to get some good photographs. Rocks water dead trees are all good unless you have something better.

Thanks,
regards

I'll be there as well. There are some great areas to consider photographing Mike.

Let's move this off of the thread. We can correspond by private messages, OK?

However, anyone else in the area ( or even within driving distance ) should really consider coming. The facility at the Southeastern Center for Photographic Studies is top flight ( I should know because I do some printing there, and my colleague and I are in contact with Carl and we are setting up the space perfectly! I can give you the details via private messages ). Furthermore, I am assured that previous experience with Pt. is NOT needed since the workshop is geared towards beginning Pt. printers AS WELL AS filling in the gaps for accomplished printers. Indeed, I hope that any of the more accomplished printers can offer some help to me!

Not too far North of the Workshop area is Dead Link Removed Along with the nearby HighBridge Road & Intercoastal, it would provide hours of opportunities. Ed is closer to the area so he may have some better suggestions. I also plan on taking off Friday so that I can come down to do some photography.

I'm embarrassed that we can't get 6 photographers in this state, to support Carl's workshop. Other states have gatherings and outings and support educators when they come to there state and all we can come up with is 2 photographers. So weak. a lot of talkers but that seems to be all we have.

The economic situation can have a large impact Michael, especially if one has had a previous relationship with Mr. Madoff.

Looking forward to seeing you at Michael and Paula's workshop. I hope others will sign up as well.

Disappointing only 2-3 people in whole State. I suppose the low interest is partially due to financial insecurity in our troubled times; but maybe advertising needs to be more systematic. Most people don't realize that Daytona has facilities that are conducive to photography (the area's reputation doesn't normally include fine art photography ;-) Oh well, at least we have the Michael & Paula workshop to look forward to.
