Hi,
I just started my first experiments with carbon printing yesterday. I am really pleased with results which seem quite promising. There is one thing I need to ask our carbon printing experts. The negative remains in the direct contact with dichromate soaked gelatin for the time of exposure. Is it safe for the negative?

best wishes,

Jan

Dick Sullivan's book recommends using a protective envelope for the negative such as 2ml Krystal Klear. This would be especially important if doing emulsion side to carbon tissue, probably less of concern if reversing your negative.
