Has anyone here heard of a mounting material called Capa?
 
Assuming that you are referring to Kapa mounting boards, yes.

It is an extremly rigid foamboard available in different sizes, the correct brandname is Kapamount. It is manufactured by a company called 3A Composites and is available through different stores that sell photo mounting materials.
