Check the usual suspects but can't seem to locate?

Anyone have a suggestion please?
Thanks

Try adding 15gm of Potassium Aluminum Sulfate (P. Alum) to a liter of fixer.

Alum is useful stuff to have around the house: you can use it to make baking powder if you run out; it makes a great cut flower preservative - make up a 2% w/v solution and add 1 tsp/liter (yields 100ppm) of 110F water; stops bleeding from shaving cuts. Can sometimes be found in the spice section at the supermarket, though at a ridiculous price.

With todays films, you really do not need hardener. We still sell it to those who insist, but not required.
