CanoScan 2700F... Worth It?

Hi all,
So sometime last year I bought a CanoScan 2700F from a recycling plant, for $5. When plugged in to the wall, all seems good, (the little green light comes on), and so i'm wondering how I could get this old thing to run on a modern(ish) computer?
What cords & adapters would I need, what software should I try to actually use the scanner, and is it worth the hassle?

Wow, that's old. I doubt it would be worth the hassle. Look at Canon's web site and see if any drivers are even available before proceeding forward.

Vuescan has a driver for it.
But you will need an older computer with an SCSI connector, plus the necessary cables.

You can probably get a USB to SCSI adapter to work. I think VueScan supports older scanners natively.

Adaptec is the recommended brand. Check that a driver for your OS is available before buying.

Check as well that the card is compatible with the card slots in your computer.
I had the devil of a time finding a card that used the same slots as were available in my Windows 7 machine. Most of the used cards out there expect older "bus" technology.
