Canos EOS 30 vs 30V autofocus differences?

Hi, I understand the 30V has better autofocus. does anyone have experience with one vs. the other? Is it a big difference?

I can't comment on either but as far as AF cameras I would suggest getting an EOS 1N or 1V

THanks for the reply. I have an EOS 3 which is a 1v in a plastic shell.

This one will just be a glovebox camera....

Wikipedia describes the change in autofocus as a "mild upgrade". The more important upgrade was compatibility with Canon's then new E-TTL II flash metering system,

AF response has less to do with the camera, and a lot more to do with the lens. There are differences in AF speed of consumer Canon EF lenses vs the professional level L-series lenses. L-series lenses snap better with stronger power sources e.g. alkaline batteries over the flimsy 2CR5 or CR123A batteries.
Metering algorithms/lag and especially eye control focus, can affect AF speed, but again, the L-series lenses have their own algorithms to overcome body-side lag (to a point!).
There is no proven evidence that eye control focus / point selection improves the accuracy or speed of focusing.

I tried them side by side using the same lenses. No major difference I could see.

They seemed snappier than my EOS 50, and slower than the EOS 3
