I've been offered a Canonet 17 for 50, with no AE (seems to be due to a broken thread) and, more important for me, what appears like fungi on the inner side of the front lens...
Does this seem like a good offer for the price, or sould I look for something else ?
Additional question : how hard is it to remove the front cell of the lens ?
I'll second Anscojohn,
i got a mint cannonet for under 40 Euro with the leatherette and perfectly working AE, clean lens so yeah
that's a little too much asked.
cheers

Even sadder is that I had no chance to fly to the US again, and had no chance meeting you again !!
At the moment, my Rolleiflex does a decent street camera, even if the kit is a bit too big (OK, I have to admit I carry the camera plus spare film(s) plus meter(s) plus table-tripod plus ....
