I want to make a giant lens for a long time and my main aim is to build 1500 mm photon sieve lens with giant diameter and ready for Hasselblad.
Photon Sieve concept comes from 50 years history but put on to the table with USAF Geoff Andersen. His aim is to build a extremelly big may be 180 meters diameter flat lens to the space after Hubble and James Webb telescopes.
He tried at lab , with 10 cms diameter silicon wafer with 1 million pinhole which put on to the surface with electron beam.
Larger the diameter and more the pinholes , better the image quality.
I worked at prepress sector and it was possible to print such a pinholes on to film.
I contacted with USAF and he told me 10 cms diameter will have a very narrow sensivity.
Than I read here about pinhole films and people were complaining the film aberrations and lack of good image quality.
And I looked to canon website about their diffractive teleobjective lens element and after studying feed back at electronic amps. I learned that canon put two diffractive element one behind of another and cancel the aberrations.
I am looking for your comments to resolve better image with two same photon sieve on behind of another and cancelling the aberrations.
Does it work ?
