Canon T90-Dead...help!

That dreaded "EE" display has affected my Canon T90. The light meter reads properly, but the shutter won't release at all. A while ago, in this forum, someone had posted a repair technique for unlocking the powerful magnets that control the shutter curtains. Can someone point me in the right direction?

It needs a trip to the repair shop. Do a search in Google or eBay about Canon T90 EE repair. There is no user-level fix.

You could try putting it on "bulb" and pressing the shutter release, it has been known to work.

Canon T90 repair

Hi there,

I own a secondhand camera shop in Antwerp, Belgium.
Somebody does all repairs for me and I came across this problem a few times
with T90 bodys.

Normaly it can be fixed. It is possible that the rubber light- and dampening seals around the shutter are worn out.
If they are replaced, the problem could be solved.

Well I suppose you have taken the lens off "A" and pressed the depth of field lever in and out, also press the battery test button, also take the batteries out and re-insert.....at the last resort some guy suggested:- take the lens off and smartly bang the camera (base down) onto a carpet, whilst holding the shutter button down.

I don't know where you are located but I would call Steve at the Camera Clinic in Reno, NV. Phone 775-829-2244. I bought a couple T90's from him several years ago. Love my T90's; Haven't found anything that meters better.
