My friend Lori has a Rebel TII which appears to be malfunctioning giving her blank unexposed frames every so often. Unfortunately it happened on her recent vacation. I'd like to suggest a replacement body but am not a AF Canon shooter. With a KEH replacement price for the Rebel at $144, what could she get that would be a better body. She prefers to stay with film.
Personally I like the EOS50 (called Elan 2 in some parts of the world...). It has lots of useful features and is very cheap nowadays. But only available used.
For me (personally) the ECF is of no use.
Yep, the "E" is the eye control feature. I responded in error before... I actually have the Elan 7E (no 'n').
These are what I found at KEH: Dead Link Removed
I think the Elans are a better (read 'more durable') body. The Rebels (at least at the time I got my Elan were more of a minimal-featured version... almost like a starter camera.
