I'm trying to print a large (16x45") image on a piece of Baryta paper cut from a roll.
I've created a custom paper size, but the printer, after initially feeding the paper a little, rejects it and says the paper size isn't recognized.
This video helped a little:
But I'm still unable to get beyond the feeding stage.
Has anyone successfully made this size print on the Pro-1000?
Thanks

I don't have your printer Ari (I have a Pro 10) and I am not an expert anymore, but a couple things come to mind.

Are you printing through Photoshop/Lightroom or using Canon's own Print Studio? I've found things go smoother through Print Studio, at least on a Mac. Another thing is to double check all your settings throughout the steps for printing. I've had issues before that somewhere along the line, the computer defaulted to the "default" paper size which gives an error IIRC. Also check to see if you put the size in backwards, in other words 45x16. That would cause the error too. I've done that before. Or maybe rotate the print to vertical before you print it. Kind of sounds like the 45" might be throwing something off.

I don't know if that helps, but I hope it might.

Thank you, Patrick. It's worth checking each parameter to see if that's the problem.
It could be that the Pro-1000 just can't print this kind of custom size. They needed a firmware update just to allow the 8x22" printing.

Glad to hear that Ari! Though I doubt I really helped you.

I didn't even know PPL existed. Downloading it now to see if it will work with the Pro 10. Thanks for that. I've been using a program from Canon called Print Studio Pro.

Well, you and a couple others helped steer me to it, as I'd run out of options.
Through PPL, everything worked perfectly, like the printer was meant to use that size paper. No issues with feeding it, and it printed the entire 47" length.
This was amazing considering how much I struggled just to get the printer to accept the paper size.
Print Studio Pro may be an older version of PPL, or specific to the Pro 10.
Best thing is to check for software/firmware updates on the Canon site, which is where you can also get Professional Print & Layout.
