Canon PowerShot: No more digital compact cameras with viewfinder?

Perhaps a dark scarf over your head would help when taking photos with the display? Back to the beginning of the story

Although a viewfinder should also magnify.

I would look silly with a hijab. And the viewfinder magnifies and is not cluttered with reflections.

But the efv is also a tiny crappy low res lcd with poor color. Even on the high end cameras it feels like going back to the days of the viewfinders on VHS home video cameras.

I guess it is good news that they are reportedly manufacturing the G7X again, given demand. However, I wish there was a wave of improvements for the 1" compacts. See that Canon's model does not incorporate a viewfinder, but the Sony RX100 series do after the mkIII.

These are quite good cameras and miss my now broken Sony. One minor improvement/change would be to have USB-C charging which I have found really useful in my Olympus EM1.3 during roadtrips!
While at it, quite expensive, but their value is of really high quality in a pocket and I found out that a 1" compact with quality zoom is all about I need in digital. Which IMO the V1 as vlog oriented misses due to the cooling system. Rather ludicrous prices in the user market for the aforementioned models.
