Hello all... Culling the film herd and as much as I adore the New F1, I'm just reaching for my Leica M6 more for it's smaller size (especially during these summer months when I'm spending more time outside). As such, I'd like to part with my Canon F1 and 50mm f/1.8 Lens. This combo was purchased from ProCamera in Charlottesville, VA and was given a full CLA by their very own Ryan Jones. He's an excellent camera technician and this particular unit operates absolutely flawlessly. Overall condition is excellent with very light brassing on some of the more pronounced edges, but still very clean with gentle character showing through. Lens focuses smoothly and accurately, and the aperture is clicky, like it should be. Overall, a gem. This has the big metered prism (a joy to look through) and the lens has a generic front cap. No rear cap. I'll throw in a roll or two of film, and the battery is super fresh.

Asking $375 shipped OBO on this one. Photos added.

Best,
Matthew

How is the viewfinder, any scuffing or significant imperfections?

Matt when you say 'the big metered prism' - is it an F1n or a New F1 possibly

No scuffing or marks that I can tell, and certainly nothing that would impede 100% functionality.

Would love to see a photo. I still think you have a New F1

That's a New F1. I have one just like it with the same prism.

Chris

Thanks for the info! I wasn't sure if it was New or F1n. Canon didn't make it easy to discern the two.

No problem.
The New F1 is the easier one to identify because of the "grip" that hides the battery. The other two (F-1 and F-1n) look like older style SLRs. I have trouble distinguishing between the OG F-1 and the F-1n.

The olive green F-1, is available in the F-1n, IIRC.

The original F-1 is more easy to distinguish from the F-1n by the F-1n lever plastic.

IMO.
