Canon New F-1 Mirror Locking Up / CLA and Repair Recommendation

I have a Canon New F-1 that has unfortunately developed a sticking mirror when firing the shutter. It will eventually go down on its own usually after a delay or if I press the shutter button. I have had it get totally stuck before and after taking the lens off and poking at the various pins and levers that interact with the lens it did come back down. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when it decides to get stuck based on shutter speed, temperature, etc., so after a bit of searching around it seems this is a fairly typical problem and probably just needs a thorough CLA.

I tried to contact Ken Oikawa based upon recommendations through this forum and around the web, but found out after calling his number that his health has declined and is no longer performing any repairs

Does anyone have any recommendations of who works on vintage Canon cameras and can perform a good CLA for ~$150? I know of a guy near me that has worked on some of my gear in Charlotte who is pretty great, but always has a big backlog of a month or so at a time and is a little pricey. If they are in or near North Carolina that is even better.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have reached out to Steve before in the past actually regarding another problem with a lens and inquired about a CLA on this camera as well at the time and he wanted $250 minimum (not including shipping to and from), so he is a little bit out of my budget.

Try Crystal Camera in Asheville. They've fixed everything for me - Nikon F2, Minolta CLE, Nikon S2, Leica, etc. All at very reasonable prices. Quick too unless they have to look for parts. I wouldn't get hung up on finding a Canon "specialist".
