I have recently acquired a Leica M2 and need a lens. I am also in the process of selling off all of my Canon equipment, and have the following L lenses available:

24-105mm f4
135mm f2
200mm f2.8

I would be interested in either a:

35mm Summaron f2.8
35mm Summicron
50mm Summicron DR

Thought I might give it a try! Maybe will be of interest to someone?

Dual Range Summicrons can be had for a (relatively) good price these days since they don't work well on Leica M cameras after the Wetzlar M6, which was the last M to utilize the full capability of the lens. I got mine for about 650 dollars...good luck with the sale btw...I would be interested if I was a Canon person and didn't have an M2 myself with a DR on it.

Thanks Chris!

To clarify a bit more, I would ideally be looking to trade one of the lenses for either a Summaron or 50 Summicron DR, but if a really nice 35mm Summicron came along then it might be a different story!

Hmmm. Gimme a week or two to get a 50DR off fleabay for about $600 and then I'll gladly trade it for your 135L...

Ha ha! Why wait 2 weeks when you could just buy it from me now? ;-) I would want a bit more than $600 though...

Well yeah, my point was that you're probably better off selling the 135L for about $8-900, then spending $600-650 on a 50DR andd keeping the other $300 to blow on film, rather than direct trading (unless of course, the 135L is completely broken, I've seen a water-damaged one go for $650).

And also if I got a 50DR for that price, I'd probably keep it too...

Well yes I could potentially save money that way too, and I also have the lenses up for sale locally. $600-650 is a great price for the DR! I've see them for around $900 in Vancouver and a similar price (or more) at KEH for an EX one. I would want one with nice glass (not concerned with external cosmetics) and I would rather not go own the ebay route. So I guess what I'm saying (in a round about way!) is that I would be happy to trade my 135L for a really nice DR. I'm just looking at lots of options at the moment and thought I would throw the idea out there!

I also have a couple of Canon 1Vs to throw into the mix!

And the 135L is in lovely condition, no water damage ;-)

A Leica 50mm f/2 DR for sub-$700 usually comes with living things on the glass though.
