I am selling what I believe to be a Canon IIIA rangefinder body (Leica thread mount). The shutter fires at all speeds and sounds accurate at all speeds. The rangefinder is calibrated and aligned. The film advance is smooth. The viewfinder is clear. The camera has had a modern flash PC jack added in what looks like a professionally done installation (the original IIIA did not have flash sync of any sort). The main problem is that the shutter curtains need replacement and will almost certainly leak light based on their condition. This is a common issue for this model. There is also a social security number engraved on the baseplate (what were they thinking back then!). The slow speed dial rotational action has too much friction, but works (needs lube).
I might add that the sale includes an original Canon pop-up spool which alone is worth at least $30 - these are now very hard to find. Priced accordingly and sold AS-IS for repair or parts - no returns.
