I'm thinning out my collection a bit (to enable future purchases of course!). These is a vetted camera I've personally run multiple rolls of film through, I'm selling it mainly because I have other rangefinders and SLRs I prefer using.

Canon FT with FL 50/1.4 lens and FL 38/3.5 lens:
Lenses are in excellent shape with no dust, marks, fungus, haze, etc I can see. I'm including two Hoya contrast filters (yellow and red). No pics of those, but I'm tossing them in for free. They're in fine shape, they just don't fit my other lenses without adapters.
Body is in good condition with normal brassing for its age except for a ding on the corner by the film rewind. Body was serviced by Garry's Camera Repair in 2021 and was in continuous service from that point till now. Invoice from Garry is available for your review.

Interested in trades for quality medium format folders in good condition, especially in 6x9 format, but will consider other 120 formats as well.

My experience with the Canon FT is, it's a solid, manual SLR experience and one you'll likely want to carry if there is a chance of loosing it to theft, damage.

Yeah, it's a solid beast and I debated selling it for a few months because it has been such a strong performer in the time I've owned it. However, I'm not a collector and don't want a bunch of shelf queens. As good as a shooter the FT is, my F-1 fits my needs a bit better.

I have a Moskva 5 I could offer. 6x9 native format with an optional 6x6 mask. I believe the lens on it is an Industar 105mm.

It fails your "in good working condition" criteria. The bellows likely need to be replaced or repaired. The rear seals are not doing their job (significant light leaks). The shutter is working, but generally pretty far off from nominal values, and inconsistent at the highest couple of speeds (this might just be par for the course on Moment shutters, not sure). But the lens is sharp and clear with no fungus or other issues, and the rangefinder seems dead on. With a bit of work this could be a very good 6x9 workhorse.

I've been meaning to get rid of this camera for a long time. I bought it in my brief "I lived in Russia for 2 years so I should collect old Soviet cameras" phase, and never really enjoyed shooting it, even before I became aware of its maintenance needs. Like you, I'm not interested in owning shelf queens, so when I have cameras that I don't like shooting, I don't hang onto them.

There is no chance that it's equal in value to an FT + 50mm f/1.4 + contrast filters. However, I am in the market for a 50mm f/1.4 in FD mount, would likely end up buying yellow and red filters for it anyhow, and am willing to work with you to come to an equitable arrangement if you have any interest in the Moskva 5. The FT sounds great though it would be redundant in my collection (already have an FTb). The 28mm would also be redundant for me.

If anything in that word vomit piqued your interest, let me know. Happy to talk details via PM.

Hi Bhuij,

Appreciate the offer, but I do not want a project at this point in time. I'm looking for something that is ready to use.

Shame you didn't notice earlier, but I had a listing here for an FD 50/1.4 SSC (breech lock), but it has since been sold.

Chris
