If anyone should be interested in the rare occasion it would be to able to purchase a brand new FD lens - here is your option...
Ffordes in England has found an old stock of lenses that is being sold at reasonable prices.
fun fact.. when I worked in a camerashop in Copenhagen years ago, we bought the leftover stock of FD lenses and 100pcs F1N !!!
The lenses where all the goodies, TS35, 50, 85, 200/1,8, 300/2,8, 400/2,8, 500/4, 600 and 800 !!
A petty I didnt stock up myself ...
A very warm welcome to the group Martin, I bought 2 of these lenses from Ffords recently and I'm amazed they are brand new as described, they also had recently a few new old stock Canon F1's from the Montreal 1976, Lake Placid 1980, L A 1982 Olympic Games, but I already have three New F1's and aren't a collector or I would be very tempted.
I'm very curious where they got this stock from, and if they have discovered a time warp.
Yes blockend their pricing policy is incomprehensible as ever, but I find them in many cases cheaper than eBay and you do get a six months warranty with all the stuff, except the sold as seen.
I was just wondering where the new old stock lens I was using today that I bought from Ffords recently has been since it was manufactured in May 1990 almost 25 years ago.
