Are the F1n and the F1N prisms interchangeable ?.I know the whole finders arnt but my F1n prism is becoming desilvered and i have the chance of a very cheep F1N finder.

No Colin absolutely not, none of the viewfinders or focusing screens are interchangable between the F1n and New F1.

I was thinking of just swapping the prisms not the whole housing as well

Your best bet if the focusing screen is ok is to buy another prism on Ebay.
