Were you at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles to feel the excitement and see Carl Lewis tie the record of four Gold medals in track and field set by the legendary Jesse Owens in 1936. If you were, you understand and appreciate "Old School" photography. If so, you may well experience a similar excitement when you unwrap the parcel containing this special 1984 LA Olympics edition of the equally legendary "New" Canon F1 and for the first time feel the heft of this precision built professional camera. This is no modern plastic consumer level light weight, but rather the real deal . . . a camera built to handle the rigors of a professional photographer's life. As you can see from the photographs this example has only minimal signs of use. The fast 50mm f1.4 lens is scratch, fungus and flaw free. It retains its original lens cap. Also included is the original Canon strap. Appreciation of the qualities of this fine instrument is not reserved for those who grew up in the era of film photography. You maybe of the generation who has grown up with pentium processors, wi-fi and iPhones and are fascinated by the magic of "Old School" photography. You may have played with your pinhole and toy cameras producing wonderful images and are ready to take the next step and add some new experiences to your ever expanding world of creating art through photography. If this is the case, this camera may well be the ticket to that new adventure. It will not take long for you to know you made the right decision in acquiring this camera. It is a beauty.

This gently used professional grade camera will provide no disappointments. It has some very minor brassing as can be seen in the images provided. There is a tiny compression on the corner of the light meter prism as can be seen in the second and fourth photographs. None of this interferes with the proper functioning of the camera. Some might buy this camera and turn it into a "Shelf Queen" however the person who buys it and uses it as it was intended may well experience more joy in ownership of this special camera.

$395. Free shipping in the USA, slight extra charge overseas. There are a few countries to which I won't ship.
