Not sure if it matters, but this is for the F1 New.
I need to order a few eye-cups.
It is not really an eye-cup in the traditional sense, it is more of a padded ring. There is not a lot of rubber that sticks out for you to surround your eye with.
I have checked Ebay and cannot find any. Is eye-cup the best way to search for these.?
Is there a better place to look than Ebay.?
Thank You
If you look on eBay for Canon F1 eyepiece which are much easier to use with glasses rather than "eyecup" Chip you will find the correct thing. Make sure it's complete because the metal ring and the rubber covering were originally sold sep[erately.by Canon.
I thought I had posted this earlier so, here it is again.
Harbor Freight has assortment boxes of "O" rings, in both SAE and Metric that'll fit that finder, for no a lot of money.
They are always a good thing to have to hand, their uses are universal and they should be a must have resource in any tool box that needs tools worth using on good camera kit, including spacers for button batteries.
Ace Hardware has those o rings too. They work, I've used them before. You just have to find one that isn't too thick, as that will push your eye back a bit and make it hard to see the whole frame. You can use felt too, I've made many an eyepiece protector from that.
