Hey there, I'm new to the forum but couldn't find anything about this. So I got a Canon EOS 3 in pretty good condition, it just had the infamous "bc" error which I was able to fix by myself (thanks to Youtube) ... mirror/shutter is working again, just the Auto Focus won't work.
The AutoFocus starts to work but never finds a spot to focus. I could use the camera with Manual Focus though. Brought it to a local camera repair service here in Berlin and they said it is a shutter problem (that said, when I picked it up again today there was that bc error again, which I fixed again by now) and asked for 284 Euro for a repairment... which didn't seem to be a legit option to me.
Long story short: Did anybody have this AF problem with the Canon EOS 3 before and maybe has a clue how to fix this? Thanks a lot in advance!
