Canon Digital Rebel Xti with Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II Zoom lens and accessories

This is a well featured and very usable 10.1 Megapixel digital camera, that gives excellent results.

It comes with a versatile Canon zoom lens, and can be used with all Canon EF-S lenses and, if you take into account a “crop factor” of 1.6, all Canon EF lenses as well.

I purchased this kit used and have given it light use since then. It has always performed well for me. I primarily use film cameras, and it has been convenient to have a digital body that works with my Canon and - via adapters - other film camera compatible lenses.

Included with the camera are five Compact Flash cards, a pouch to hold them, a Canon battery charger and, subject to the comments that follow about shipping, three rechargeable lithium batteries. Two of the batteries are original Canon models while the third is a generic replacement. All three batteries hold a charge and give reasonably long use.

Included are the original Canon CDs, the cords that came with the camera, a generic corded remote release and an untried (by me) multi-format card reader that has the capability of reading Compact Flash cards, and a generic protective UV filter for the lens, and a Canon lens cap.

Also included is a Canon BG-E3 grip with two trays - one which holds two of the lithium rechargeable batteries and the other which holds AA batteries (and is almost unused). I find that the grip improves handling, and the ability to use either AA batteries or two lithium batteries at the same time makes the camera much more flexible to use.

I may have a remote shutter release as well. If so, it will be included.

The camera body shows some signs of use (primarily on the grip), but nothing is damaged and everything functions well.

The lens is also in good shape and has always performed flawlessly

The glass is clean and the auto-focus works well. The zoom range is very useful.

First $150.00 USD takes. If you need an adapter to permit using Olympus OM film lenses on this camera, I’ll add that for an extra $15.00 USD.

This camera and its accessories are currently functioning perfectly, and I have used this camera for a while and been happy with the results. It is, however, an “older” digital camera and as such there is no way I can reasonably guarantee its condition in the future. For that reason, this camera is sold "As-Is" without returns or warranty except for the accuracy of this description.

All prices are in US dollars. I prefer PayPal and will bear the PayPal costs. Do not mark as "gift" - if I sell something and accept PayPal, I pay the fee.

Shipping:
a) I will ship at cost (plus a small amount extra for packaging expense) via Canada Post from V4K 2Z9, but must insist on a trackable shipping mode. I will gladly ship internationally, but will only put accurate values and description on the customs forms; and
b) I have one caveat about the shipping. There are limits on how many batteries I am allowed to ship using Canada Post. The rules aren’t completely clear, but it appears that a parcel can only include two installed batteries, and no additional batteries. I will ship as many batteries as I can, but no more.

For Canadian customers only, who are prepared to pay by Interac e-Transfer, I'll still add postage costs to Canadian addresses, but will offer a favourable exchange rate from the US dollar purchase.

If anyone is local and wants to meet, you can save shipping and packaging expense. I'll happily accept Canadian cash, and will offer the same favourable exchange rate.

Pictures follow.
