Wish to purchase Canon DMB-90 for T90. Anyone have a lead? Note this is not the Command Back 90 which are quite common. Thanks.

What use would that back have without the appropriate interface?

According to the T90 manual the DMB 90 can store and then display various pieces of data for each exposure on an LCD panel on the back.

Can also imprint some of this data on the film, manual doesn't say where. I.e. in the image area or elsewhere.

With the interface unit DMB all data can be checked, (stored), on an MSX personal computer.

Quote 'Data Memory Back 90, Interface Unit DMB and MSX computer are not available in North America and some other areas.' /Quote

See Wikipedia for description of MSX computer from the mid '80s to 1990. Very basic and mainly sold in Japan, S.E. Asia, South America and some European countries.

I don't see that it's of much practical use today, depending on how the data printing is handled. It may be a challenge to get an MSX computer up and running seeing as how they went out of production around 1990. The OP may just like one to round out a collection of T90 accessories.

I stopped at the 300TL flash and the 60T3? remote cord. I would have liked the second shutter release which screwed into the remote socket on the grip but I missed them and I expect they are all long gone.

I'm still enjoying my T90 along with other FD bodies. Had it since new in 1987. Serviced by Canon Australia in 1999 and still going strong. I must be one of the lucky ones.

Your best bet to locate one may be on japanese or european auction sites. Of course, seeing as they don't appear to have been distributed in most english speaking countries, I wonder what languages are available on both the lcd panel and on the buttons on the DMB 90?

Hey, I assume you only want to know if you can purchase one, but I do use a DMB90 (yes, the data memory back, not the command back) for my T90. I just try and take good notes after a roll using the LCD screen on the back of the DMB90 to record my shot profiles per frame. It's a pain and I wish I had a way to offload the data through a third party adapter. I tried working with Meta35 and even sent my camera plus the DMB90 to their offices in Texas. They were a joy to work with but it turned out it wouldn't have been economical to produce the adapter/software.
