I have the parts to try out the system over the weekend. Has anyone used this system? Does it account for ambient light?

I had one back in the 70's. Flash output is controlled by distance (by the ring that mounts on the front of the lens). As you focus, flash output will vary. It worked well, all of my Kodachromes were well exposed.
