So I caved and bought a Canon Booster for my Canon FT. Do I need it? No. Will it work? Probably not, but I figured at most it will be $25 wasted.
However, I am using my FT without batteries and will have to buy battery adapters to use the booster. I go to the bay to see how much for adapters (I think I need 3) and they cost
Around $60 shipped. What the heck?
Can I test the booster with a three 1.5v batteries? I realize the readings are going to be off, but I just do not want to spend close to $200 to test an item I am not sure will work. Will the higher voltage burn anything?
Also, anything cheaper out there?
