I have a nice User-Plus Canon AE1 set for sale here - complete with a trio of very usable Canon FD mount lenses. It came from my father, who like me is down-sizing.
I would like $175.00 for this set - either Canadian or US dollars (your choice). I wont refuse to consider reasonable offers. For now, I would prefer to sell this all together.
Shipping will be at the buyers cost.
First the camera body. The camera hasnt been used much in recent years but it appears to function well. It shows sign of use, but no signs of mis-use. The viewfinder is reasonably clean and bright and the mirror appears good. The seals are no doubt old, but they appear functional. There is some small lifting of camera leather at some corners (see photos).
The meter responds to light and currently (and in bright sunlight) gives readings that are within about ½ stop of the readings from my Gossen hand meter.
I detect no sign of any shutter squeak.
These cameras take a readily available PX28 size battery and the one in the camera seems to still have some life.
The lenses are all Canon brand FD mount lenses: 35mm f/3.5 S.C. and 50mm f/1.8 and 135mm f/3.5 S.C. There are lens cases for the 35mm and 135mm lenses.
All lenses show signs of use of use, but no signs of mis-use. The lenses mount and dismount easily and well. The apertures seem to function correctly and show no signs of oil on the blades. The glass is all clean but not pristine - there is nothing visible that would likely affect image quality.
Most likely, the silver-nosed 50mm lens is older than the black-nosed 35mm and 135mm lenses. There is one Canon Olympics commemorative (1976) lens cap and one regular Canon lens cap between the three lenses, along with two Canon back caps. All lenses use the same filter.
Ive run a roll of film through the camera using each of the three lenses and the results at a few combinations of shutter speed and aperture seem good. As do shots at distances near infinity and at about 6 feet.
Please see attached photos of the camera and the entire kit, and ask any questions you may have.
The Fine Print:
Payment: Paypal only please. No gift option - I will absorb the cost. Ill also pay 3% to APUG.
Shipping: I will ship via Canada Post from V4K 2Z9, but must insist on a trackable shipping mode. I will gladly ship internationally, but will only put accurate values and description on the customs forms.
All items sold AS-IS. FWIW, I have a few sales here on APUG with apparently positive results, and 100% positive feedback on ebay as mlkingeb (so far, mostly buying).
