I have a Canon AE-1 where the curtain is stuck in the cocked position. At first I thought that the mirrorbox needed servicing, but then I notices that it was the curtain that won't release. I have fixed many AE-1s and it is my first time seeing this issue. I've tried to manually override it through releasing the magnet and cocking the shutter from the bottom.
What could be causing this?
