Hi All,
I have the following things that I would like to sell as a package.
~ Canon A-1 Body in great condition. Works well, meter is accurate, new-ish battery. The only thing about this camera is that the battery door was cracked before and glued back together. It happens a lot, apparently. Comes w/ the detachable grip.
~ Canon FL (Note, this is not the FD) 55 1.2 Lens w/ original Canon protective filter. In good shape. Aperture is clean, coating is perfect. This is an awesome pre-aspherical lens. Tons of sample pictures online.
~ Canon FL 135 2.5 lens. Not so rare and not as interesting as the 55, but not that bad either.
Throwing in the following:
~ an extra A-1 body. Also cracked (and glued) battery door. Looks good, meter is good, but the shutter sounds funny. It fires at all speeds accurately (as far as I can tell - the pictures come out properly exposed) but, well, sounds funny. Probably in need of CLA. Note that the A-1 is an FD camera and will only meter w/ FL lenses in stop-down mode.
~ a Canon FT-QL body in great condition. The (mechanical) shutter on that one is noticeably slow. Could probably be revived with a cleaning.
I don't really have a price in mind. The 55mm alone can be had on ebay for something like $250 plus or minus a few $. A canon A-1 in good shape is anywhere from 50-100.
The reason I'm getting rid of all of these things is because I'm just too in love with my Olympus OM lineup. I tried to grow to love the Canons, but it just never happened for me. Oh well.
If you want these, make me an offer. This lens is awesome in the right hands and I want to make sure it's used and appreciated. My descriptions are accurate, but I can post pictures later if anyone's seriously interested.
