Has anyone tried the old "Black Only" technique with the Canon 9000 printer? (Meaning, you check "Grayscale" mode, which forces the printer to print only with the black ink cartridge. Most of the latest Epsons lack this option.)
I made some prints on an Epson 1400 (now gone) using this technique, and I keep coming back to them for their unique qualities. They have a beauty which the multi-gray inks seem to miss.
