Canon 7 with viewfinder selector issue

Good morning.
I have just delivered a canon 7 that should have been problems first. The camera is in excellent aesthetic condition and the viewfinder is clean and the rangefinder is also clearly visible. However, I found a problem that makes the camera completely unusable for me. The viewfinder selector works for 135mm 85.m, 50mm bezels. But when I get to the 35mm one I'm left with the 50mm frame. Is this a problem that can be easily solved? Has it already happened to someone? Or do I have to send her to assistance? In this case obviously I will have to send it back since I only use 35mm lenses ...

I believe that the 35mm frame is hard to see on the 7 cameras. Something about it being pretty much the same size as the viewfinder itself is stuck in my memory.

The 35mm framelines (frame corner markers) on the Canon 7 are out by the corners of the viewfinder, and you probably wouldn't be able to see them while wearing glasses, for example. But if the 50mm frame is visible, that means the selector is not working properly. I think it's basically the dial on the top cover that needs to engage with a little rotating piece in the finder. The Canon 7 exploded diagram/manual on learncamerarepair.com has some suggestions for causes and fixes of the problem, including the possibility that the top cover is a bit loose or that something inside is obstructing the piece from turning.

Unless you have experience with camera repair, probably not a good idea to take the top off. You can try tightening the screws. There is a linkage between the frame selector on the top plate and the mechanism underneath. If engaging at all, should move the frame lines. You might try moving back and forth between 35 and 135 a few times. If the camera does go back- the Canon P might be a better camera for you.

I'd wager it's a quick fix for a good repair person. I've been into the mechanism, it's doable for a handy amateur but I don't recommend trying it as you haven't indicated experience and how you stand to these risks.
The 35 mm frame lines in the 7 are ok for me without glasses, but with glasses hard to see. The P is worse with its 1:1 VF. 7 is the much better choice to use 35mm lenses.
