I have a bulk roller with a heavy lump of this in it. Any idea what it is? I plan to shoot a short roll at a wide EI range and develop in HC110 to test. Ok, and maybe a test in diafine since it is not time specific.

The picture shows both sides.

Thanks

It is cine camera or internegative film.
Which does not make you wiser at all...

It looks rather like some movie print film (B&W) which I had many years ago to print some B&W transparencies from negs.

From the shape of the perforations it is cine stock. I could be fine grain positive stock or leader. They look very similar. Without trying to develop it you cannot really tell. Developing would reveal any edge markings. Does a small piece respond to a developer. If not then it is leader.

Cine print film has a different kind of perforation.

The positive black and white is more light yellow.
I see here a little reddish.
In connection with negative perforation can tell you that I had from ORWO positive black and white with such perforation.
Kodak makes positive with negative perforation but to order.

Well this is a new one for me,
Its Plenachrome. Luckily it is Safety Film.

From the two minutes of research its a 125 ISO orthochromatic film by Ansco, but who knows if that is accurate.

The shots taken in the 25 to 50 EI range look pretty good, but its certainly fogged, a bit. Quite surprised at how decent the negatives are for unknown age, unknown storage conditions. Its worth shooting!

Ok, maybe not, this stuff is nowhere near flat after drying.
