We’re quite a group... we get up in arms when a company ( Adorama) directly responds to our issues, complain that Ferrania doesn’t deliver quickly enough, still think Kodak owes us Kodachrome, and become incensed when Fuji doesn’t knock on our doors to inform us about dropping a product.
We should be thankful for what we have, in a diminishing market, especially to those representatives who take the time to visit here, and address concerns.
My understanding is that everything ever submitted by that author has been removed.......I think you missed my point. The author stole images and lied about it. Adorama ended up footing the bill. The article about film with the stolen image was pure rubbish and devisive in your customer base. Despite this, you choose to leave it up. To me, that says it all. I will not support your store in the future, and will encourage others to do the same.
I am not boycotting Ferrania, Kodak, Fuji or any other film manufacturer. I have walked away from Adorama because they post inaccurate and untruthful anti-film articles. Furthermore when I contacted Customer Relations, I was told that Adorama only wanted people to upgrade to high priced digital equipment. Some of the equipment I own is high priced, but all of it uses film, film which now will come from other stores.
As I noted earlier in the thread, that was a poor response - and not one sanctioned by the Customer Service Manager, the Sales Director or the Marketing Team. The content of that email bore no relation of any kind to Adorama policy.
Sometimes people think on their feet in an effort to help - and get it wrong. (Me included...)
I agree. Now we find out that the author flouts copyright laws and as noted before the article is inaccurate. Finally the author's articles hurt Adorama's bottom line. Removing the author's articles and banning him from Adorama's webpages would go a long way to heal bad feelings. Please pressure management to ban the author.
As I noted earlier, I've been advised that all the articles from the author have already been removed
In that case, I have reconsidered my actions, and I will put Adorama back on my approved suppliers list. Thank you.
it is common knowledge that once an article has been published online, other sites and writers are able to use that writing and reporting to inform their own. It is not usually necessary to request permission provided there is a link back and mention, so they get that credit.

Thank you Helen...and I mean that. I guess you folks were indeed taking it seriously. I will reconsider my position towards you folks.
I am impressed with Adorama and will purchase from them when I can.
Yea Helen
