was gonna make a small batch of pyro MC to try it out. But the suggested time info is scarce at best. are the times for HD, which I use and am familiar with, close to, or can you use them as a guide, for MC? I have a lot of metol that I would like to use and am out of phenidone, so it is convenient to mix at this time.

I use a pattersen tank and usually use semi stand, or agitate every three min when I use HD

thanks in advance.

John,
Go for it! I've been using Pyrocat-MC a lot lately and it's a peach of a developer. I find my MC times are slightly shorter than my Pyrocat-HD times, but you could use the same times for starters with no problems at all. I just did a 120 roll of FP4+(at ISO 80) in MC for 10.5 min. @ 74f and the negatives print just great with a grade 2 setting on my Ilford multi-grade head light source. Oh, I use my own homemade TF2 fixer if that makes any difference or not I don't know. If you use a condenser light source you might want to cut back the time a hair. My other favorite developer in homemade Wimberley's WD2H+ and the negative from it print beautiful also. Just my opinion of course! John W
