Welcome to Photrio.
Your post has been edited to remove your private email address, and moved to the Digital editing sub-forum.
Based on its initial location, I'm guessing that it originated from an iPhone.
Do you have access to computer based digital editing software, or are you limited to what is on your phone?
In case there are members here who are unable to access your image, here is a screen shot - I've added arrows, which I assume is your area of concern. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Based on its initial location, I'm guessing that it originated from an iPhone.

Both the original file name and aspect ratio suggest otherwise. The flare artefact looks like something made by a small 'compact camera' lens and depth of field suggest the same. There also appears to be substantial noise suppression going on, which is consistent with this. I'd assume this was shot with a digital compact camera from the 2010s.

Not that it matters a whole lot.

The nature of the flare artefact and the place it's in makes it a good candidate for some kind of content-aware AI-assisted repair such as offered in the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop. Trying to fix this entirely manually is virtually impossible without leaving quite visible traces of the manipulation. In fact, I doubt that even AI-based tools will do a perfect job, but it'll be a whole lot less time-consuming.

Maybe one of the forum members with a current version of Photoshop could give a hand here.

And welcome to Photrio, Colin!

Actually it looks quite manageable to me, but it definitely needs some advanced retouching skills and quite a bit of time.

Unfortunately I have too much on my plate at the moment, and when I have some free time I‘d rather spend it on my own backlog :/

Content aware tools make the removal of 80% of the problem easy, but of course the final 20% will take some time that I don't have. As you can see the color of the fabric has been changed due to the flare and that would need some work to correct if your aim is perfection. But if the goal is simply to remove the distraction so the focus is on the faces this might be enough and I'll be happy to email you the full resolution version of this one.

The easiest option, assuming you're not married to showing the ceiling and floor, is to simply crop the image to a horizontal format.

Hey I see a pacifier on the floor. ;-)

Yup, nicely done!

I started with it, but decided it would take more than 10 minutes.

I’m sorry in advance if this isn’t allowed. This is my first post on this forum. I’m trying to see if someone can help me by editing a picture to clean up an area on my dad’s pants. The lighting made some strange reflection on it for some reason.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

I tried Photoshop contextual taskbar and some AI.Click on it to see the whole picture; I hope that helps.

Thank you very much ! That looks fantastic. I really appreciate it a lot. I had worked for an entire day trying to do that and I couldn’t get anywhere near that good 😆. The last time I put my email on here the post was edited. I don’t want to upset anyone and get banned lol. How can I give you my email address for the full resolution picture ?

No problem at all. Try starting a conversation with me and you can share your email there privately. Hover over my name and the options should show up.

@warden - you will need to start the Conversation with @Colin09 , who can then respond.
@Colin09 has too few posts to have "Conversation" privileges (yet).
Reach out to us for further help if you need it.
And just to expand on the note already shared with @Colin09 , we won't ban someone for naively publicly posting their own email address, but we will delete the email address from the public forums, because the bad faith harvesters that are out there love to grab them and cause the poster all sorts of problems.
