Can someone help me identify what film this is?

I bought a Lloyd's daylight loader from Ebay for $5.00 (no handle) and to my surprise it came with what feels like a full roll of 100' of film!

The problem is, I'm a noob and I've not seen a lot of film and I'm wondering what this could be.

Anyone have an idea by looking at the color?

If you can't tell me what you think it is, do you have a recommendation for a good course of action to figure it out? All I could think of is shoot a few frames and develop it and see what pops up.

I'm not even sure it's color or black and white.

That sounds reasonable, if it were you, would you shoot it first or just pull some out and develop it?

Ok...so I loaded some into my camera and shot a few frames. I developed it in D76 as I would HP5+ and got a blank roll with just the end that was exposed to the light being dark.
No markings either...nothing.

Well, it wasn't all dark. The part that stuck out of the loader was black but the rest was clear as if it never got exposed to light.

If it happens again, I might have to trash it. I just shot some in my M6 which I know works just fine so if it happens again...then into the trash it goes.

If it's all clear, could my D76 have died?

I'm in the process of developing it with HC-110B just to rule out exhausted developer.
To be precise, after the last development the film was clear, with no edge markings at all, except that the last 2 inches that stuck out of the loader was black.

So..I just processed it in HC-110B and it came out the same way. It SEEMS like it's clear with a HINT of exposure.
Here is a picture. I shot this at ISO 200 and I shot at several over and underexposures just in case.

So I guess this is just toast.

So this is what was inside; this seems pretty darned cool. I was wondering how I'd know when I'd have enough on the spool, and with this one, I'll know from the outside edges. Even though the film was a bust, this made it worth it to me.

I just got the 100' loaded into the loader and had a couple of cassettes worth left over from 100' roll.

Good chance that it is something like that.

If so, you need lots of exposure for it.
