Can I use the same batteries for an EOS 100 that the EOS D uses?

Having trouble working out which batteries to buy for my newly purchased second-hand EOS 100

I don't think the EOS digital camera batteries are backwards compatible. If memory serves, the EOS-100 takes a 2CR5 lithium battery. They should still be widely available.
