Can I use a linear polarizer on the Bronica ETRSi

I have a Bronica ETRSi with an AEIII metered prism.
Can I use a linear polarizer, or do I need the circular?
I've gone crazy searching this but haven't been able to
figure this out.
I know that linear is ok for manual focus, but certain types
of metered prisms (split beam?) require circular.
I cannot find any info on the AE-III prism and I have contacted
Tamron without any results.
I'm only talking a matter of 30 dollars between the 2, but......
Any input would be greatly appreciated

Linear's fine. They are only a problem with certain autofocus lenses.

I'm using the Cokin P system, and like I mentioned,
it is only about 30 bucks difference, but that's
the cost of developing three rolls of film.

Or cameras that meter through a semi-silvered mirror, which the Bronica doesn't. The problem with autofocus is not with certain autofocus lenses, but with the autofocus mechanisms in cameras.

You can even use the linear polarizer on cameras that have trouble with them provided you focus manually and do not rely on the built-in light meter to determine exposure.

Or meter without the polarizer and apply the filter factor before putting it on.
