I have a trip soon and where I'm going doesn't have anywhere I can get film developed.
I've been thinking of going with some powdered cinestill c41 kits and was wondering if anyone had experience flying with these kits?
I wouldn't try to take them in carry-on, but as far as I know (not having flown since some years before 9/11), it should be fine in checked bags -- at least if it's in the original packaging.
Should work fine in principle in checked bags, but...obviously you'll be drawing attention form security personnel/xray operators, increasing chances of additional checks, delays and lost luggage. So can it be done? Sure. Is it necessarily a good idea? Well..how important is it?
Another option would be to ship the kits to yourself at your destination, allowing reasonable time for delivery. If you're staying in a hotel, you can send it in care of the hotel, and notify them ahead of time that you're expecting a package to arrive ahead of your own arrival. If staying with friends, even easier; just ship to them.

I was going to ship straight from the source to my destination but they have been sold out of powder for like 2 months. & If I want to ship them myself (now that I bought the kits), it'd cost so much more than what the kits cost.
It's not a MUST that I must process film while I'm there, but I will be for 2 months so it'd be really nice to not have to wait.
