Can I laminate an Instax print?

I took some photos on a Wide 300 for a pre-school class. Can I laminate the photos as they will be heavily 'loved' by the lil' tots?

Integral instant films are already laminated.
What technique are you referring to? Heat glueing between to foils? But why?

Document lamination machine. I'm not 100% sure how it works.

The teacher wants to let the children handle the photo. If it's laminated the photo will be much more durable as kids are not gentle with these kind of things.
