Can Efke KB25 be handled in a safelight?

No, Efke KB25 should be handled in total darkness - or under a dark green safelight.

I handle my Efke KB25 in total darkness except when I am Developing By Inspection. When I do DBI, with Efke KB25 sheet film, I use a Dark Geen Safe Light.

You'd need a safelight so deep red that it's almost infrared. Unless you've had cataract surgery, the eye also has very poor sensitivity in this range.

I use a deep red filter on the safelight when developing PL25 by inspection, but only very briefly and after at least half the total development time. I tried that once, figuring I might get away with a stronger light with this film than when using green light. Since the development times are relatively short, any "edge" will help my not-quite dark adapted eyes. So far, it seems to work. I haven't noticed any fogging yet.

Once i accidently dropped the lid on my developing tank when I emptied the developer with efke 25 and Pyrocat-hd. So the spiral (it was 35 mm) was totally exposed to light for a few seconds. The two outer frames got a bit exposed by the light, but not much. On the rest of the roll it didn't seem to affect the film. So I suppose it might be worthwile a try with a brief peek at the end of development with a dark red safelight, even though it isn't really supposed to work.
