Im trying to identify this lens and thought maybe someone here could help. I can tell that it's an APO Rodagon of some kind, but can anyone tell which one? It's attached to a slide copy bellows so I'm thinking it might be an APO Rodagon D 75mm copy lens. Can anyone verify or disprove that based on the size/charisteristics shown in the images?

I asked the seller for more info/photos but they said that "due to the size of their inventory" they couldn't provide any more photos.

Thanks!

The only visible difference should be the text on the filter ring. As Rodenstock varied even the typography between likely same models you hardly could make anything out of that unsharp lettering.

I have bought quite a lot of used photographic stuff over the years and I've gained considerable aversion to vendors who use poor photos (I've never seen ones as bad as these) or who don't know anything about what they're selling. For example "I'm selling it for a friend and I don't know anything about ..." or "I can't answer any questions because...."

I might have missed a few gems, but I'm sure I've avoided a few problems.

Have you asked if they could read all the text on the lens and tell you?

Thanks guys. These are crops I made from the photos in the listing. The listing is actually for a slide-duplicator setup and the lens is attached to the unit but not mentioned in the listing. The seller's other items are all scientific instruments and they seem to know little about the unit (they call it a "microscope") I asked if they could tell me what was written on the lens and didn't get a response. Im certainly wary and thought maybe someone here could pick out some distinguishing feature. All thos Rodagons do seem to look the same though!
